Headed to the Florida Keys for the perfect summer vacation? If you area lover of motion and sport, The Florida Keys Overseas Heritage trail is the perfect option for an exciting bike trail – bike along the causeways and over the bridges to drink in the amazing scenery.

How about a day of snorkeling or SCUBA diving on Sombrero Reef and Lighthouse?   You’ll have to leave the island to get to the reef, but you won’t have to leave Key Colony Beach to book your trip and catch the boat with A Deep Blue Dive Center on Sadowski Causeway. The Florida Keys is home to the only living coral barrier reef in North America, and the water is warm year round. Visibility is usually excellent, and snorkelers and divers alike will enjoy the various shapes and colors of fishes and other marvelous kinds of marine life.

The historic Pigeon Key is a terrific place to visit. You can catch the ferry to the island from Knight’s Key at the west end of Marathon, or you can walk two miles out the old Seven Mile Bridge and discover the place where the railroad  workers lived while they built the railroad that connected Key West to the mainland from 1912 until the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935.

If you are vacationing with children must go to Crane Point Museum, a natural history museum that comb in a true trail sandan interactive museum with  interesting activities for children. Kids especially love dressing up and boarding the pirate ship! Crane Point also houses the Marathon Wild Bird Center, which is a truly paradise for birds and for the viewers, too.

For a unique experience take a tour of the Turtle Hospital, where you’ll see dozens of rehabilitated turtles, being also available a 90-minute educational program, extremely addictive, especially for children.

What could be nicer than petting dolphins? At the Dolphin Research Center, you’ll have the chance to do that. These fascinating marine mammals will quickly become your new best friends. At Theater of the Sea the show is on the agenda! The kissing dolphin sand sea lions, as well as the charming talking parrots will are you in a festive atmosphere.

At Robbie’s Marina, the fun is in full swing! Whether you choose a party-boat fishing, eco or snorkeling tours ,to feed the tarpon or catch the sun set from the” Capt. Michael” boat, you’ll have plenty of fun and interactive activities.
