VIEW OUR BUCKET LIST OF SPANISH BEACHES!
Living in Spain has been a longstanding ambition of mine. Who knows if it entails relocating before retirement or having a home there when we do? You might be asking why I’m so excited to visit there. Well, a big part of it is the stunning beaches, which are complemented by the never-ending sunshine.
Spain offers about 8,000 kilometres of beaches, ranging from urban beaches with all the amenities you could want to expanses of white sand and crystal blue sea. Everyone can find a beach, for sure! Here are four beaches in sunny Spain that you simply must see.
1 . PLAYA DE SOTAVENTO, Fuerteventura
Would you want to visit a pristine beach with clear, turquoise water and the best sands? Then Playa de Sotavento on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura could be the place for you. In addition to being an excellent place for swimming and snorkelling, this beach is also a favourite among those who enjoy intense water activities.
There are no facilities at this specific beach, but it is nonetheless a favourite with families because lagoons form along the shore where children may play securely at low tide. It is also where the annual Kite Boarding World Championships are held. For a number of reasons, Fuerteventura is an excellent choice for a beach vacation in Spain, and if you can navigate the island with ease, a trip to Playa de Sotavento is a must.
2. BALEARICS PLAYA DE SES ILLETES
On the island of Formentera, there is a beach called Playa de Ses Illetes, which appears to be a candidate for the title of “most beautiful beach in the world”! This beach is situated on the north shore of the island, inside a natural park, and has deep-blue sea and white sand. It may be reached by strolling through the nearby dunes. Since it’s a highly popular stop for visitors on boating vacations, you may see a lot of boats sprinkled over the water in front of the beach during the high season!
Ses Illetes may appear to be an undeveloped beach, which is excellent, but you can also benefit from the nearby restaurants and stores, which are only a few minutes away. By boarding the boat that connects the Balearic Isles, visitors may reach Playa Ses Illetes from any of the islands.
3. FUERTEVENTURA’s PLAYA MORRO DE JABLE
There is a second beach in Fuerteventura that sounds stunning. Since Playa Morro de Jable is one of Fuerteventura’s busiest beaches, I assume it would be crowded throughout the summer. However, we have been there in the spring, and it is truly a jewel.
Since it’s adjacent to the town of Morro de Jable, a well-liked vacation destination, and has blue waters and beautiful golden sand, the beach is a family favourite. You don’t have to bother about packing a lot of luggage in advance because the boardwalk near the beach has many stores, restaurants, and bars! Even a lifeguard service and sunbeds for rent are available.
4. CANTABRIA, LAYA DE BERELLN
The magnificent Playa de Berelln cove, hidden behind a pine forest, can be found in Cantabria’s less well-known region. Since this quiet beach is hidden from the major currents, the water is shallow and calm, making it ideal for children to swim in.
Visitors may also find some beautiful walking paths nearby, as well as a lookout with amazing views. Additionally, this beach is devoid of conveniences, so be sure to pack your own supplies. While you’re there, stop through the lovely town of San Vicente de la Barquera. It has to be the region in Cantabria with the most magnificent scenery.
