Corkscrew Falls in Ohio’s Hocking Hills Region

Although visiting there might need you to get a permit since the beautiful spot is part of the Boch Hollow National Preserve.

Lighthouse in Marblehead State Park

The property has been maintained by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources since 1972. They also accepted the ownership of the Marblehead Lighthouse back in the year 1998. The best part about the place is that the US Coast Guard still kept the beacon in working conditions!

The Lighthouse is kept open for public visits every day from 12 PM – 4 PM. The visitors are charged a mere $3 to climb up the lighthouse whereas for kids under the age of 6 it costs nothing! The last trip of the day is at 3:40 pm and they accept cash transactions only.

The Dexter Mausoleum

The Dexter Mausoleum can be considered as a revival structure that reminds of the Gothic Era and in terms of dimensions, it can surpass a Victorian House! It is a breathtaking sight to hold in the Grove Cemetery of Ohio. Dexter was an immigrant from the UK who came to the US and made a fortune selling whiskey. His family made the mausoleum as a memorial for him which still stands tall today as a creepy yet beautiful masterpiece of architecture from that era.

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is home to over 10,000 animals that are scattered in six different regions. It is an educational and recreational complex that can easily take you on a journey through the continents with ease!
